Global Sourcing Strategist for HVDC Solutions

About the Job

Hitachi Energy's HVDC Control and Protection team is seeking an experienced Category Specialist to support global sourcing initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with project teams, engage in projects, and execute strategies developed during the Tendering phase.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic sourcing activities, including RFQs and RFPs for project execution.
  • Analyze quotation comparisons and update costs for project execution against budget targets.
  • Negotiate timely responses from suppliers and meet internal demands and schedules.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, standards, certificates, and directives required by Hitachi Energy.
  • Support supplier qualification and audits processes, recover supplier-caused claim values, and match claims with reported non-conformities related to Supplier Quality.
  • Collaborate with the global SCM team to procure goods and materials on budget, on time, and with quality to our project sites worldwide.

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
