Job Title: Lighting Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Lighting Technician to join our team. As a Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating lighting equipment for film and photo shoots. You will work closely with the production team to achieve the desired visual effect and vision.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the production team with creative solutions and act as a sounding board to achieve the desired effect and vision.
• Prepare and set up lighting equipment in studio or on location, including the placement of set and angles of lights based on the set's layout, size, and camera positioning.
• Collaborate with other departments during the production process to ensure a cohesive visual style.
• Handle lighting equipment with proper care and logistics, ensuring it is working and operating correctly, maintaining it, and changing it as necessary.
• Conduct risk assessments, inspect, and oversee health and safety in relation to lighting equipment.
• Keep up to date with new photo, motion, light, and technical equipment and trends.
• Participate in finding creative and efficient solutions regarding new ways of working and improved workflows.

Requirements:

• Education and/or solid experience in photography, film, and different production methods.
• Expertise in setting light based on image composition, cropping, angle, and brief.
• Knowledge of different types of photo and lighting equipment and the ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Driving license B.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Organized and structured, able to manage heavy workloads during peak production periods and tight timelines.
• Ability to cooperate with the team and work independently.
• Understanding of architecture, home furnishing, and how this influences lighting in images.
