We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Business Continuity and Crisis Management team at Nordea. As a Business Risk Manager - Civil Preparedness Specialist, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our operations and ensuring continuity in the Nordic societies under all circumstances.
You will work closely with our Head of Civil Preparedness to develop the function and lead projects related to complying with Finnish legislation on civil preparedness. Your expertise will be essential in building effective partnerships across the organization and externally to execute on enhanced civil preparedness measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of processes and dependencies and connect them to how these contribute to societal preparedness and enhance their resiliency further in alignment with expectations from authorities and financial regulators.
- Establish effective partnerships across the organization and externally to execute on enhanced civil preparedness measures, including managing budget, resources, and coordination for potentially more parallel initiatives.
- Develop expertise in terms of knowledge and understanding of particularly, the processes that are most critical towards social preparedness, including but not limited to payments processes throughout the Nordics and their dependencies.
- Become a trusted advisor for Civil Preparedness topics by providing guidance related to procedures and interdependencies, while staying informed about emerging risks, industry trends, and best practices within Resilience.
Requirements:
- Advanced project management skills to prioritize, plan, and execute on tasks and translate ideas and capabilities into initiatives.
- Fluent in English and preferably also Finnish and/or another Nordic language.
- Good communicator who can simplify abstract themes by converting them into easy and clear messaging for varied audiences.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks related to Civil Preparedness.
- Good knowledge and/or previous experience with Business Continuity and/or IT Continuity.
