Job Title: Product Quality Assurance Specialist

This role involves overseeing the quality and compliance of our products throughout the development process. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards, drive continuous improvement, and meet customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance in Product Development:
  • Oversee quality aspects from concept to launch, ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with R&D to ensure formulations and ingredients meet quality specifications.
  • Review product specifications, raw materials, and ingredient certificates for conformity with safety standards.
  • Quality Process Development:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality processes, including risk management, change control, and corrective action systems.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators during the product development cycle to resolve problems effectively.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management:
  • Conduct quality assessments and audits of suppliers.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and resolve issues.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
  • Evaluate product compliance with nutritional, safety, and labelling regulations (FDA, EFSA, GMP) for domestic and international markets.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and update internal processes as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management within the nutrition, food, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems (GMP, HACCP, ISO) and regulatory frameworks (FDA, EFSA).
  • Experience with product development processes and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, project management skills, and communication/leadership abilities.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is around $80,000-$120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
