Postdoctoral Researcher in Metabolomic Epidemiology of Asthma
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the Unit of Integrative Metabolomics at the Karolinska Institutet. The successful candidate will work on analyzing metabolomics and lipidomics data to understand the biochemical dysregulations that drive the development of asthma.
About the Project
The project aims to identify the key molecular drivers of different sub-types of asthma using data from the U-BIOPRED project and metabolomics data from multiple intervention trials. The successful candidate will take the lead in integrating metabolomics and lipidomics data with other omics data and clinical phenotyping data.
Responsibilities
The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for:
- Analyzing metabolomics and lipidomics data to identify key molecular drivers of asthma
- Integrating metabolomics and lipidomics data with other omics data and clinical phenotyping data
- Developing and implementing data analysis pipelines
- Collaborating with the research team to design and implement experiments
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, the candidate must have a Ph.D. in epidemiology, data science, or statistics, or a related field. The candidate should have excellent quantitative and applied research skills in data analysis, demonstrated proficiency in statistical language (e.g., R, Matlab), and good bioinformatics knowledge of metabolomics.
