Nordic ISR Engineering Lead

Req ID: 449383
At Alstom, we recognize the significance of transportation networks and their role in facilitating movement. Our extensive portfolio encompasses high-speed trains, metros, monorails, trams, and comprehensive systems, services, infrastructure, signaling, and digital mobility solutions. Each day, our dedicated team works towards fostering greener and smarter mobility across the globe, linking cities while minimizing carbon footprints and reducing reliance on automobiles.
Could you be the full-time Service Engineering Manager for the Nordics we are seeking?
Your Future Role
Embrace a new opportunity and leverage your leadership skills in a pioneering domain. You will report to Magnus Forsén (Director of Services Engineering, Nordics) and collaborate with a team of highly motivated, experienced, and skilled professionals.
Our Services product line provides a comprehensive array of solutions aimed at maximizing the value of customer assets. Our offerings span the entire lifecycle of an asset, from design and construction to operation and decommissioning.
In this position, you will oversee and direct the development and execution of Integrated Service Readiness (ISR) activities and deliverables related to our product offerings, ensuring they are easily maintainable and thoroughly documented. You will work in close collaboration with other team leaders and various departments to guarantee the successful realization of ISR strategies, support plans, and solutions. Your duties will include managing ISR personnel, influencing product design for improved supportability, and ensuring program delivery aligns with budgetary and timeline constraints.
Specifically, you will be responsible for preparing ISR Elements (Engineering (Maintainability), Maintenance documentation, Training, Special tools and test benches, Spare parts) during both the tender and project phases, along with overseeing the planning, costs, and quality of ISR.
We will look to you for:
- Establishing a new team integrated within the Service Engineering organization.
- Actively participating in the Service Engineering Management Team.
- Managing personnel to create a balanced team in terms of capability and capacity.
- Implementing global processes while adapting to local requirements where necessary.
- Monitoring team involvement in projects to ensure adherence to QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) standards.
All About You
We prioritize enthusiasm and attitude over extensive experience. While we do not expect you to possess every skill, we have identified several that will aid your success and growth in this role:
- A degree or passion in a technical engineering discipline.
- Experience with maintainability considerations for complex systems/products.
- A broad technical knowledge base.
- In-depth understanding of the lifecycle costs and associated considerations.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Swedish is preferred.
Things You'll Enjoy
Join us on a transformative journey— the rail industry is here to stay, offering opportunities for skill development and career advancement. You will also:
- Experience stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from monotonous routines.
- Engage in complex project setups on both supplier and customer sides, where safety is paramount.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues.
- Contribute to innovative projects.
- Utilize our agile leadership approach in a multifaceted work environment.
- Direct your career path across various functions and countries.
- Benefit from our commitment to your development through award-winning training programs.
- Advance towards more senior Engineering Management or Project Management roles.
- Enjoy a competitive and dynamic compensation package that recognizes your performance and potential, along with comprehensive social benefits (life, medical, pension).
You do not need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We assure you that when you step onto one of our trains with friends or family, you will feel a sense of pride. If you are ready for the challenge, we would love to hear from you.
