Your Impact:

As a Dynamic/Seismic Engineer at Hitachi Energy, Ludvika, you will have a significant impact on our company's success. Your expertise in dynamic analysis with high voltage (hundreds of kV) and high power (GW) topics will help us develop, manufacture, and sell DC transmission systems on a global market.

Responsibilities:

Perform studies and Finite Element simulations of stress from dynamic events.Work in a multidisciplinary technical environment where mechanical and electrical considerations are necessary.Convert theoretical results into reality in actual design suggestions.Be part of R&D activities to ensure competitiveness in the future.Interpret requirements and available data and document required procedures for seismic qualification of equipment.Perform studies for sea fastening of critical equipment.Review and approve supplier reports on seismic qualification.Support our business units in the dynamic calculation area.

Requirements:

We are looking for a Doctor or Master of Science or higher in mechanical engineering. Experience from seismic or other dynamic simulations with heavy equipment is a big merit. Even though you have a mechanical degree, you also have a keen interest in or understanding of electrical aspects to combine Volts and Newton in your design.
