CabinAir aims to improve the health, safety, and wellbeing of drivers and passengers, by producing industry-leading in-cabin air purification solutions for cars, trucks, buses, and other vehicles.
We are looking for a Head of R&D to be part of our journey as we strengthen and expand our businesses.
What you'll do
Lead the company’s R&D organization from a strategic and operational point of view in line with company goals and strategies. Lead the technology development and technology roadmap for the company in close connection with customers and markets.
Overall responsibilities:
1. Lead and develop the company’s R&D organization including Research, Development and Test & Verification organizations.
2. Responsible for fulfillment of company strategies and goals connected to R&D and Technology.
3. Responsible for CabinAir’s IP portfolio and management, including IP monitoring of customers, competitors, partners etc.
4. Responsible for delivery of products, projects and technology of the right quality to customers at the right time.
5. Responsible for the technology development and technology roadmap work for the company in close connection with customers and markets.
6. Secure that the company has an optimal R&D organization with local presence to serve company global customers.
7. Develop and maintain a safe and healthy work environment at our R&D sites.
8. Develop, monitor and follow up of R&D KPI’s.
Who you are
You are a results-driven leader with a strong focus on customer needs and a passion for delivering exceptional quality. Your ability to collaborate effectively across teams, combined with your proactive approach to problem-solving, sets you apart.
This role requires a strategic thinker who is thorough and structured, with a proven ability to drive projects from concept to completion. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for this position.
Qualifications
1. Min 7 years of experience from R&D Management and Technology Management.
2. Min 5 years of experience from the Automotive industry, including knowledge of IATF processes.
3. Experience of embedded, application and cloud software, databases and solutions for the automotive industry, including experience of SPICE.
4. Experience of integrated electronics development for the automotive industry.
5. Planning and execution of Strategic and operational work acc to company goals.
6. Proven experience from managing staff in an international environment, and in agile management methods and ways-of-working.
7. Budgeting and follow up experience.
8. Solution oriented.

Based at Headquarter in Stockholm where all functions are represented, we are an international fast expanding team of passionate and committed employees with factory and R&D in Shenzhen and sales offices in Shanghai and Los Angeles. In total, we are about 80 passionate CabinAir employees.
Our technology is already on the road in Volvo Cars, some of the world’s most highly regarded vehicles in terms of driver and passenger health and safety, as an integral part of Volvo Cars’ Advanced Air Cleaner (AAC) system. Recently Polestar announced AAC for Polestar 3 and we recently signed other contracts with premium vehicle manufacturers from Europe, U.S. and China. In parallel, we are launching our technology for cars already on the road.
