Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will optimize the product portfolio and return on investment in the field of Softstarter solutions in the global and agile team of “Develop solutions: Motor starting”. You will ensure that ABB has a full understanding of market requirements and is able to transform these requirements into solution specifications and development activities. Moreover, product management is responsible for promote, support and maintain existing offering. As a Product manager you will be a key player in bringing the customer voice into the ABB organization.

You will mainly be accountable for:

- Carry the voice of the customer and explore, follow, understand current and predict future market & customer requirements their impact on existing and future products and systems.
- Identify business opportunities and create business case for products and systems development projects.
- Define and plan long-term strategic ambitions, support and develop product line strategy for assigned products.
- For assigned products, follow up business performance and maintain, keep agile units, sales and channels informed, and drive improvement actions.
- Support Marketing communication team with appropriated content and documentation for promotional and marketing communication activities.
- Maintain and follow annual cycle of activities to govern product management for assigned products or services.
- Embedding sustainability and circularity principles in everyday activities as both the right thing to do and a business opportunity

Qualifications for the role

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Professional Experience: Over 3 years in product management or sales within the electrification sector, with a solid technical foundation and strong business acumen.
- Personal Attributes: Ambitious, self-motivated, and customer-focused, with a keen awareness of market and competitor dynamics. A solution-oriented team player who listens and collaborates, but who also can work independently with excellent prioritization skills and ability to quickly generate results.
- Adaptability: Resilient in dynamic environments, with a structured approach and the ability to see the bigger picture.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in both written and spoken English.
