This is a permanent position based in Solna, Stockholm.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As Senior Software Engineer at Moleculent, you will participate in the design and development of Moleculent embedded software products, including Instrument control SW, User Interface (GUI), and Analysis SW.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to the design and development of Moleculent SW by driving implementation of new functionality, bug fixing, and refactoring.
2. Support development of backlog in drafting requirements and work items, and plan own work and contribute to team planning.
3. Take part in code reviews, create unit tests, and in other ways contribute to the development of high-quality SW.
4. Contribute to improved ways of working in team retrospects.

Moleculent is a dynamic startup, and as a Senior Software Engineer, you'll need to be ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute wherever necessary to drive our success.

QUALIFICATIONS

To fit the role, you should have a BSc or MSc in software engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related field.

Must have:

- Extensive experience (>5 years) in SW development from initiation to launch, preferably in products for Life Science instrumentation.
- Extensive experience with Python.
- Low-level programming.
- Extensive experience in programming of embedded systems.

Nice to have:

- Experience with graphic user interfaces (GUIs).

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Must have:

- Expert programming skills in Python.
- Proficient user of at least one of the other major languages (C++, C# or Java).
- Experience in SW troubleshooting and bug fixing.
- Experience in Linux.
- Experienced with agile planning and execution.

Nice to have:

- Experience with the "Async/await" paradigm.
- Python architecture in large projects.
- Experience with Redpanda, Grafana, and dashboard development.
- Experience with frontend app development (Flutter Dart).
- Experienced in setting up and developing CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cybersecurity requirements and strategies for SW in similar products.
