Mycronic is divided into four divisions, and in this role, you will belong to PCB Assembly Solutions (PA). PA is a leading provider of equipment and solutions for surface mount technology (SMT) to electronics manufacturers who require rapid production adjustments while maintaining high efficiency. PA delivers systems for circuit board assembly, including both complete line solutions and individual systems for specific process steps, as well as advanced software for assembly process management and connected factories. The team you will be joining currently consists of three colleagues working with test, integration and verification. Due to an upcoming retirement, we are now looking for a replacement who will focus on system verification, laboratory maintenance, and, in the long term, beta test support at our customers’ sites. In addition to your immediate team, you will also collaborate with other teams within I&V as well as software and hardware development teams in Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Japan. ARBETSUPPGIFTER Work tasks You will work in a broad role with planning, executing and reporting test and verification, primarily on Mycronic Pick & Place machines. You will participate in planning meetings with the team, as well as collaborating closely with hardware and software designers and architects, defining what needs to be tested, discussing requirements, identifying new functions, and determining which test cases should be created — all with the goal of ensuring that the machine works correctly before release to the customer. Over time, you will also participate in the beta test phase, planning and coordinating tests together with customers and the development teams. You will be on-site with customers during the installation of new software or hardware to ensure that everything functions as intended. The role also involves communicating clearly with customers, explaining new features and their usage, and collecting and following up on feedback from the test period. Furthermore, you will: * Execute integration, verification, and test cases on various machines and machine generations according to the test leader’s plans. * Collaborate with engineering teams to plan tests for new functions — understand requirements, identify what needs to be tested, and why. * Perform practical testing on both software and hardware, and report results in Jira/Confluence. * Contribute to the development of automated tests, for example through Python scripts. * Ensure that equipment and machines are properly maintained and in good working condition.
