Höganäs AB is looking for an experienced leader within IT, that has a proven track record in developing and implementing IT strategies.
About the position
Höganäs AB has set a new decentralized structure with five divisions to ensure efficient execution of the launched strategy. To meet the strategy and goals, Höganäs is forming a new IT organization by merging two departments and there is a need to recruit a CIO that will be part of the Extended Management Team.
As the CIO, you will play an instrumental role in further developing the information technology strategy, driving the digital transformation across the global organization, and ensuring that IT supports the strategy and operations. The position requires a dynamic and experienced leader to effectively steer the development and merger of the two departments, elevating both leaders and specialists within the organization. The ideal candidate will leverage technology needed to enhance business operations, improve customer experience, and support long-term strategic goals.
Key responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement the IT strategy and enterprise IT architecture, ensuring alignment with the overall group strategy goals and business objectives.
2. Ensure information and technology properly supports business decisions and needs, manage BI systems and tools.
3. Lead and develop the IT department, including infrastructure, applications, project management, business intelligence, security, and support services (consists of approx. 20 people).
4. Collaborate with leaders and facilitate the network of IT key users in the organization for leveraging synergies and further collaboration.
5. Identify, prioritize, and execute projects, including digital transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and competitive advantage.
6. Manage IT-related risk, information security, and integrity of the data and IT systems.
7. Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relations effectively.
The position will be based in Höganäs, Sweden, and will report to the CFO of Höganäs Group. The role will include some travel as Höganäs is a global company with sites in Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
Your profile
We are looking for an experienced leader within IT that has demonstrated success in developing and implementing IT strategies. You are business-minded and thrive in a complex manufacturing organization where you influence leaders and management teams to implement and develop meaningful, business-centric digital improvements. You excel when you can work strategically combined with operational elements and closely with the business. You are confident in your leadership and experienced in building effective teams.
Competence:
1. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Solid experience from a senior IT leadership role, preferably in an international setting.
3. Proven track record developing IT departments, delivering IT-related projects, preferably including digital transformation.
4. Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies and their business applications.
5. Experience with IT budget management and financial planning.
6. Höganäs operates on M3 and uses Qlik for BI applications. Experience with these systems is an advantage, but not a requirement.
