About the Role - The Head of R&I Norbal is responsible for the development of superior products, eco-designed packaging and communications in line with consumer needs, business opportunities and brand strategy.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the local R&I team on the scope of the brands and categories of the Business Unit (Dairy, Plant Based, Waters, 1st Diet) being an integral part of the R&I EU community.
- Work with R&I brand owners in assigned EU Brand leadership. Contribute to the seeding of the Inno / Reno/ Reformulation of the local categories, co-build the Productivity portfolio through reformulation with the Topline & Operations teams.
- Be responsible for the R&I portfolio Inno / Reno / Reformulation and secure and manage its execution in connection with R&I Category Europe, via managing local stakeholders, engagement through samples, and excellence in brief execution.
- Be responsible for local IDEATE (Explore & Select) and DEFINE phase of projects, ensuring the right local consumer insights based on consumer needs, and the right local competitive, regulatory and health insights are part of the definition of the product brief that is then managed by R&I EU Category team.
- Ensure excellence in brief execution, making sure the full mix (product/pack/communication) developed by the R&I EU Category team and the project team are consistent between the initial brief and the execution.
- Contribute to the capitalization of claims based on User Experience (UX) and Health & Nutrition (H&N) product data in connection with the EU teams.
- Master the local competitive set, via the realization of frequent diagnoses/mappings/competitors overview, to be leveraged at EU level to drive recommendations for future innovations and renovations.
- Co-lead with UX team the superiority program, ensuring Innos/Renos are executed with the right action standards and KPIs.
- Represent R&I in local decision forums ensuring EU R&I programs are prioritized and executed within the local scope.
- Be responsible for full Innovation process phases, from IDEATE to LAUNCH, for local brands (Proviva and Aqua d’Or).

Required Skills and Experience:

- Solid food technology, science and nutrition foundation (engineer), bac + 5 minimum.
- Solid experience in formulation & process (Dairy, Plant-Based, Waters) and knowledge of packaging.
- Experienced in understanding the FMCG consumer and market and local business and products.
- Passion for R&I and desire to contribute to building products that deliver superior, sustainable and profitable consumer experiences.
- Taking initiative, autonomy and ability to analyze and report on results accompanied by recommendations in a short period of time.
- Being comfortable with change or crisis management, solution-oriented personality.
- Team spirit and willingness to develop employees.
- Comfortable in communicating, both in writing and verbally.
- Capability to explore consumer insights through consumer deep dive and interaction.
- Good understanding of the claims, and demo creation process.
- Fluent in English (spoken & written).
- Computer skills such as office software package including Excel and Power Point.
- Comfortable with Power BI utilization helping Danone R&I teams to efficiently analyze data, create insightful reports, and collaborate effectively.

Location of role: Stockholm, Sweden or Helsinki, Finland, or Copenhagen, Denmark, or Riga, Latvia.
