The Head of Art and Design will spearhead the studio's creative departments, including art, design, UX/UI, and brand identity. This role is crucial in executing the studio's creative vision across all projects, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of compelling, high-quality gaming experiences to our players.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creative Vision and Leadership:
    • Define and communicate the creative vision and strategy for the studio.
    • Lead and inspire the creative teams to achieve excellence in game development.
    • Ensure that all projects align with the studio’s creative vision and business objectives.
  • Team Management and Development:
    • Build and maintain a creative culture that encourages innovation and collaboration.
    • Mentor and develop creative staff, fostering a team environment that attracts top talent.
    • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new creative team members.
    • Facilitate strong communication and collaboration between the creative department and other studio functions, such as marketing, product, and technology.
  • Brand and IP Development:
    • Lead the development and protection of the studio’s intellectual property.
    • Ensure that all games and products consistently reflect the studio’s brand and values.
  • Localization and Cultural Adaptation:
    • Lead the effort to localize our brand and gaming content to the different regions and cultures of our players, ensuring that our games are culturally relevant, accessible, and engaging to a global audience.
    • Work closely with localization teams and cultural consultants to adapt game elements, visuals, and user interfaces to meet local preferences, while maintaining the core essence and integrity of our brand.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in game development, with a proven track record of leading creative teams and launching successful games or products.

  • Strong creative vision and a deep understanding of game design, art direction, and branding.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.

  • Ideally you have experience with players in the Arabic world and knowledge and interest in card and board games.
