Internetstiftelsen har ett samhällsviktigt uppdrag – vi ser till att internet i Sverige fungerar genom vårt ansvar för toppdomänen .se och driften av .nu, vi driver identitetsfederationer inom skola, vård och omsorg och vi folkbildar i frågor om internet och digitalisering.

DNS Labs är ett litet team inom Internetstiftelsen som fokuserar på forskning och utveckling inom DNS-området. Vi är specialister inom DNS och väldigt engagerade i vårt uppdrag. Att vi nu rekryterar en Research Developer till teamet är ett steg mot en ännu mer utvecklande organisation.

Om tjänsten

Vi ser till att internet i Sverige fungerar genom vårt ansvar för toppdomänen .se och driften av .nu. Detta innebär att vi arbetar mycket med DNS och allt som är kopplat till DNS. Den största delen av detta är att se till att verksamheten är så stabil och robust som möjligt. Samtidigt, vid sidan av produktionsverksamheten, arbetar vårt team DNS Labs med att utveckla och testa nya saker. Det är där vi experimenterar. Det är där vi samarbetar med andra organisationer kring nya protokoll för att få Internet att fungera bättre. Det är där de kontroversiella idéerna kan stötas och blötas, för att sedan kunna bli nya projekt.

Nu behöver vi bli fler och vi behöver dig, en duktig utvecklare

Är du rätt person?

Det är mycket viktigt att du gillar att göra nytt, som t ex att bygga prototyper och designa proof-of-concept. Du behöver ha fullt fokus på utveckling och inte förvaltning. Det är bra om du kan så mycket som möjligt om DNS, men annars har vi gott om sådan kompetens, så det kan vi lära dig om det behövs.

Vi tror att du har ett flertal av följande erfarenheter och egenskaper:

- minst fem års erfarenhet som professionell utvecklare

- erfarenhet av programspråket Go (gärna andra språk också, men Go är det vi

använder mest)

- god förståelse för hur Internet fungerar (IPv4, IPv6, routing, struktur på

IP-paket, olika transportprotokoll som UDP, TCP, QUIC, etc)

- är bekväm med termer som APIer, JSON, Docker, SQL, TLS

- grundläggande insikter i krypto (i DNS används både symmetriska och asymmetriska kryptoalgoritmer, och post-quantum närmar sig)

- en akademisk utbildning av tekniskt slag i botten

- skriva, prata och presentera inför andra på svenska och engelska

- kan tänka dig att resa ibland (t ex för att presentera på konferenser)

Övrig information

Vårt kontor ligger vid vattnet på Hammarby kaj 10 i Hammarby Sjöstad, Stockholm. Vi tillämpar en hybridmodell för vår arbetsvecka med möjlighet att jobba på distans vissa dagar. Tjänsten omfattar heltid och är en tillsvidareanställning med inledande provanställning.

Intäkterna från affärsverksamheten finansierar en rad satsningar inom forskning och utbildning i syfte att internetanvändare i Sverige ska kunna vidareutveckla sin användning på ett medvetet sätt och att ge kunskap om internetanvändningen i Sverige och digitaliseringens påverkan på samhället. Exempel på våra satsningar är start- och mötesplatsen Goto 10, rapporten Svenskarna och Internet, Digitala lektioner, konferensen Internetdagarna och mätverktyget Bredbandskollen.
