Exciting opportunity alert We are looking for a Category Manager in Logistics to lead Site Logistics and Finished Goods deliveries in Sweden.

Your Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field.
  • Some years of category management experience in procurement, preferably with logistics.
  • Steel industry knowledge / experience is an advantage.
  • Expert in supplier negotiations, cost evaluation.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships.
  • Drive for continuous improvement.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach.
  • Fluent Swedish and English languages.
  • Flexibility for traveling.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Category Manager Logistics Sweden, you will:

  • Handle end-to-end procurement of suppliers in Road and Container Transports and Site related Logistics for all Outokumpu Sweden units.
  • Drive the category to achieve targets and align with Outokumpu's strategy.
  • Lead supplier management strategies encompassing quality, technology, commercial, sustainability, and risk management.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers.
  • Develop efficient communication frameworks with the General Procurement and Logistics teams.
  • Proactively communicate category information, projects, and market risks to stakeholders.
  • Manage category spend and cost per ton development through effective management.
  • Find and execute cost reduction opportunities.
  • Provide guidance for procurement transactions, intelligence, and compliance.
  • Contribute to end-to-end procure -to-pay processes for smooth transactions.
  • Lead development initiatives in logistics procurement area.

Location and Reporting:

You will be based in Sweden with required commitment to the site (one of our sites in Sweden) of 2 days per week, and report to Markus Lemberg, Head of Logistics Procurement.
