Valtech is looking for a Senior Commercial Data & Insight Consultant, working as part of cross-functional European teams on exciting digital transformation client projects. A day in the life of a Senior Data & Insight Consultant

As a Senior Data Consultant, you will play an essential role within the Data Evolution offering at Valtech. Data is our clients most important commodity, yet not all of them know that. Your role is to work with clients over a variety of consulting areas – all connected to proving the value with data.

This starts in our consulting relationship on defining with the client the Commercial Path to success for the client (digital strategy). The success framework is building KPI frameworks and then taking the client of the “Prioritise, Test, Measure, Learn” optimisation journey – helping to define the tactical deliveries and test strategies that will change the dial and building a team around you to deliver the client value.

You will be working with analytics and optimisation in the digital sphere. You will be responsible for driving the entire process from idea to analysis and pre-test to implementation and evaluation. In continuous collaboration with your team members, you will look deeply into the data, make a commercial strategy and help the client achieve value and reach the defined goal.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be the one to deliver high-quality test roadmaps, designing processes, and managing projects. Luckily, you will not have to do this all by yourself. You will work closely with management consultants, technology experts, and other data analysts like yourself.

In addition, you will:

  • Help clients to build an optimisation and digital analytics culture in their organisation.
  • Be responsible for hands-on analytics work in Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics covering visualisation, automation, insights presentation etc, and for configuration work in A/B and targeting tools like Adobe Target and others.
  • Act as a sparring partner for clients, identifying commercial opportunities that can be supported and optimised across their digital touchpoints.
  • Deliver clear and actionable recommendations to improve and optimise the customer experience.
  • Build reports and dashboards, and draw on your experience with analytical tools to help communicate the state of business, in order to drive strategic goals.
  • Establish and systematise processes to ensure and validate how the client works with optimisation.
You and the role

You are someone with strong, proven experience working with Digital Analytics or CRO/optimisation. Your strong experience allows you to identify what it takes to be successful when working with optimization and you have a natural commercial talent for identifying pain points and coming up with solutions to optimize the UX, or business logic of a site.  

We would love if you have
  • Solid experience with Web Analytics, preferably Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, A/B split test and targeting tools (Adobe Target, Optimizely)
  • Experience working within a digital agency/consultancy environment, in a direct client-facing capacity.
  • Experience working through an the entire data consultation lifecycle, ideally with scoping and designing projects
  • A creative analytical mindset. You can find insights from massive and diverse data sets and easily communicate these insights to non-analyst functions
  • The ability to take the complex and make it simple and understandable
  • A strategic mind and ability to construct client-facing presentations (digital strategies, delivery roadmaps, optimisation briefs)
  • Fluency in English
