As a Senior Software Engineer - Quality Engineering, you will be collaborating closely with our development teams, and work hands-on in expanding our automated test suite, set best practices and make our development teams more productive in writing tests.
As this is a new role at Combination you will have the opportunity to shape and innovate quality engineering at Combination, with the mandate to identify and address gaps in process, technology and architecture.
About the companySince our inception we have been focused on R&D and developing new products for prominent multinational sportsbook companies, out of our Gothenburg office and since 2020 also expanded to Barcelona.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying and addressing gaps in quality of processes, tools and architecture
- Improve the release cadence through higher confidence automated testing
- Set and spread best practices for building robust solutions
- Work hands-on to set the bar for automated testing
- Make development teams more productive in writing tests
- Work proactively using metrics and observability to detect and track quality issues in production
- Ownership of the Quality Engineering & Test Automation area, such as through leadership of the internal guild
About you:
- You have a strong foundation in problem-solving, probably from completing a Bachelor's, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, giving you an understanding the software development process and the challenges in test automation and quality.
- You have a passion for software quality, helping and coaching dev teams setup and maintain automated tests.
- You have experience of different types of tests, such as Unit, Integration, E2E, LnP, etc.
- You have experience in testing complex service-oriented systems where external services and dependencies are hard to control.
- You have experience of CI/CD, where testing is a continuous and collaborative effort.
- You are fluent in English
Bonus points for:
- Experience in containerised deployments such as Docker/Kubernetes/Helm.
- Experience with cross-browser and cross-device E2E testing.
