AbbVie Sweden is looking for a Medical Advisor within Neuroscience/ Migraine

AbbVie is looking for a Medical Advisor who will work with our portfolio in Neuroscience, with focus on migraine. The candidate will represent the affiliate’s medical/scientific voice of expertise for assigned products in the field of neuroscience.

This is a Swedish position with office location: Stockholm.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with experts and academic centers; attend scientific congresses, arrange advisory groups, discussion forums and symposia.
  • Deliver scientific presentations and medical education to healthcare professionals and internal AbbVie stakeholders and internal scientific training.
  • Monitor the environment for competitive intelligence and develop summaries of key messages and trends for both internal and external use.
  • Review and approval of advertising material. Ensure that medical/scientific content is correct and in accordance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
  • Provide medical/scientific support to marketing strategies/Brand Plans and key commercial initiatives, as required and ensure implementation of Medical Functional Plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable national laws and regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, AbbVie’s policies and procedures and accepted standards of best practice.
  • Contribute to evidence generation by identifying evidence gaps and participating in initiating, and following up clinical trials and medical projects, e.g., Phase IV, observational, registry and epidemiological studies.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Medicine/ PhD, Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent Life Science.
  • Experience within the field of neuroscience will be considered as an advantage.
  • Keen interest in developing and maintaining expert scientific knowledge within the assigned therapeutic area/product and an ability to hold high level scientific discussions.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills including an ability to clearly and inspiringly communicate complex scientific concepts.
  • Fluency in written and oral Swedish and English is required.
  • High customer orientation.
  • Strong commitment to compliance with the relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity.
  • Strong self-leadership and team-player mentality, team-oriented approach, able to develop and support relationships across the organization as well as with key external stakeholders and the healthcare community at large.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Sound judgment, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to get things done.
  • Flexible and able to deal with ambiguity and rapid changes.
