Job Description:

As a Business Controller, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders and senior leaders within and outside Business Tech. A key part of the role is to guide and support units while contributing to continuous improvement. Your primary focus will be to enable and encourage a strong business mindset, ensuring that invested funds maximize business value while maintaining good financial control and knowledge of spending.

As part of a collaborative team, you will work closely with other controllers and contribute to a positive workplace culture where open communication and feedback are encouraged. You should thrive in a changing environment and be open to new ways of working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for assigned units and consolidate financial reporting for Business Tech.
  • Manage monthly financial close activities.
  • Support with analysis and guidance for strategic decisions and their implementation.
  • Monitor and secure specific financial flows, including recharge costs, invoices, and accruals.
  • Ensure data quality in relevant financial systems and sources.
  • Continuously optimize budgeting and forecast processes.
  • Conduct financial analysis and investigations that contribute to business impact and cost-consciousness.
  • Educate and inform Business Tech leaders about financial planning and follow-up.
  • Support and control the purchase processes, including invoice handling and agreements.
  • Be involved from analysis and short-term goal setting to follow-ups, long-term strategies, and challenging existing business models.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability, entrepreneurial spirit, and strategic mindset.
  • Have a genuine curiosity and interest in technology, as well as a strong financial mindset.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Controller role, preferably in a global company.
  • Academic degree in Business, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • A solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • The ability to facilitate communication, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing between different stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to find solutions in complex situations and influence various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial tools and software, such as Excel, Power BI, and SAP.
  • The ability to challenge existing processes and ways of working.
  • A creative and innovative mindset, capable of inspiring others and bringing new ideas.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and focus on what is most important.
