Are you a skilled Engineer looking to make a difference in a dynamic and inclusive work environment? At Scania, we are now looking for a Development engineer to play a central role in assure and maintain the geometry of the Traton modular system during the entire development process. We give the best guidance and support design to develop component series with well-balanced performance steps to be able to offer tailor-made solutions to our customers to fulfill their needs. Together we keep the Traton modular system as open as possible, for a complete and optimized modularization. Develop, design and make improvement proposals.

Job Responsibilities

As a Geometry Assurer you will assure and maintain the geometry of the Traton modular system during the entire development process. This involves making sure that designs can be built and feedback any issues that hinder this process. The role includes analyzing models and structure created by design by using tools from Catia and inhouse programs. The aim is to identify any unintentional errors and support the design team by creating and maintaining complex environments, making it easier for designers to get it right from the start.

The role operates at a complete vehicle level, including chassis, cab, and bus projects. This role requires a strong understanding of the modular toolbox and the ability to work across various component levels, ensuring that what is designed can be built and any hindrances are reported and made visible. The Geometry Assurer plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the design and ensuring that the final product meets the required specifications.

Profile Requirements
  • Engineer with a Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience in the relevant area.
  • Experience in lean-agile mindset and work according to agile procedures.
  • Experience in 3D tools like for eg Catia, MS Office.
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written).
  • 2 years product development experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Scania's product description systems (TS/KS/TCR/VCR) is preferred.
  • Merit if you have knowledge of AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies and automation tools such as Power Platform application.
