Job Description:

To our client within the automotive industry, we are looking for a driven Business Controller to be instrumental in setting processes and structure for continuous growth Our client operates within B2B and has a very strong and established market position. The company is in a phase where there is a strong focus on setting processes and structure to fully explore its potential. This is a truly holistic Business Controller position, covering many areas rather than the more "corporate" position where you take care of a specific area. You would describe yourself as more of a business-oriented generalist rather than the niched specialist. This is a position with high visibility and high impact, based in Malmö with excellent commuting opportunities

About the role

This is a Business Controller position. Initially, there will be some Financial Controlling activities for internal transformation reasons, but over time it will focus on Business Controlling with minor elements of financial controlling.

Being a newly established position, you have the unique opportunity to influence content and direction, where systems and a lot of data are available, but very few fixed tasks are defined. For example, one of the tasks to start out will be to develop a standardized report structure to enhance the ability to make more thorough analyses.

You can expect a dynamic context involving analysis, reporting, budgets, follow-up, preparing business cases, and running projects. The company also has ambitious plans to widen the portfolio of products, making the position even more inspiring.

You operate in a European setting, but your responsibility covers the activities in the Swedish market, where you will closely follow and analyze the activities of approximately 30 business units. Your position is fundamental in creating a more harmonized and efficient management of these units.

You will work in very close dialogue and report to the CEO for our Swedish activities, and you will also have a close dialogue with the Nordic CFO. The position involves numerous interfaces throughout the organization. You are the only Business Controller focusing on Sweden, but this is not a "closing the door, doing my stuff" role; rather, it is a very "taking dialogues and making things happen" role, with a smaller amount of travel involved.

Experience and background
  • A minimum of three years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent command of Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
Personality
  • Not introverted – must be able to engage in dialogue with colleagues at all levels
  • Proactive, self-employed, and self-driven – likes to take responsibility
  • Analytical – ability to dive into data/processes and challenge direction and opportunities
  • Business-oriented
  • Team player
  • Not a "champion in bookkeeping" – sees business and opportunities
  • Desire to learn and challenge oneself (and others)
