Hoist Finance is looking for a Head of Group Finance to manage the group's Finance function.

Hoist Finance is an asset manager specialised in non-performing loans (NPLs). For more than 25 years, we have focused on investing in and managing debt portfolios and have become one of the leading debt restructuring companies in Europe. We purchase NPLs from our partners, international banks and financial institutions. After purchasing a portfolio, we aim to come to amicable arrangements with our customers by setting up sustainable repayment plans. Apart from helping people to get back on track financially, this also contributes to upholding a sustainable, fair and stable credit market since we help banks to offload their balance sheet, free up resources for their respective core business and meet their regulatory requirements. Hoist Finance's overall purpose is to contribute to a healthy and inclusive financial ecosystem.

The role
As a Head of Group Finance at Hoist Finance, you will have the overall responsibility for Group accounting, the parent company Accounting, regulatory report and ESG Reporting. You will work in a broad role with a major focus on development and streamlining of processes and routines. Furthermore, you will be responsible to lead and develop a team of ten employees. As a Head of Group Finance, you will have a close collaboration with the HQ finance functions and the subsidiaries around Europe. You will report to CFO.

Placement is at Hoist Finance modern office in central Stockholm.

Main responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for reporting of the groups monthly, quarterly, and annually result and balancesheet.
  • Responsible for the interim reports and for the second part in Annual report.
  • Working with the improvement of reporting and accounting in accordance with IFRS and other regulations.
  • Optimize and automate financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate, timely and effective ways of working across the regional finance operation.
  • Continuously develop and improve procedures and processes both strengthening the internal control and grade of automation in Statutory and Regulatory reporting.
  • Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to maintain transparency and compliance.
  • Be a proactive member of the Group Finance team to create a pleasant working environment.
  • Member of Group wide forums (Regulatory forum, steering committees etc).

Desired skills and experience

  • Relevant university degree with at least 15+ years' experience in an accounting or finance position with proven track record, 5+ years' leadership experience, 5+ years' financial industry experience.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbally), analytical, organized, able to motivate both own team and auditees.
  • Open minded, stress resilient, critical and independent with high integrity.
  • Experience from working in a larger dynamic, international organization.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English.
