Your role and responsibilities
Join our global team as a Digital Technical Support Specialist, where you'll work with cutting-edge process automation products within the Energy, Process, and Marine industries. This role offers a unique blend of independent work and collaborative problem-solving, allowing you to influence your workday and engage with a variety of technical challenges.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist customers in digitalizing their automation solutions with ABB's digital offerings.
- Build an understanding of ABB's Digital Infrastructure.
- Analyze user problem descriptions, review log files, perform remote diagnostics, and reproduce issues in a lab environment.
- Cooperate with R&D organizations, front-end teams, and end customers.
- Work with software development teams to incorporate supportability requirements as fault tracing tools and guides and logs.
- Occasionally participate in field/site activities to diagnose and resolve complex issues or conduct system health checks.
- Stay updated on our digital products and third-party technologies.
- Enjoy a flexible role where you can influence your workday and engage in technical discussions with colleagues.
Qualifications for the role
- Background in process automation, servicing, maintaining, or commissioning systems, or a degree in a related field.
- Familiarity with ABB PA PCP products and third-party technologies like Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and virtualization.
- High level of self-motivation and a desire to learn new technologies.
- Demonstrated sense of ownership and responsibility, working both independently and in a team.
- Proficiency in Swedish and English.
- Open to domestic and international travel when required.
