The Legal Counsel will be responsible for managing all legal matters, including contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and corporate governance. This role will be hands-on with focus on contract management and provide strategic legal leadership while ensuring the company operates within legal and regulatory frameworks.
Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Oversight & Risk Management- Lead contract negotiations and legal risk assessments across customer, vendor, and partnership agreements.
- Ensure compliance with international and regional laws relevant to SaaS, content delivery, and IT security.
- Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on legal risks, intellectual property, and corporate governance.
- Work closely with external legal counsel on complex legal cases and dispute resolution.
- Oversee customer contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and licensing models.
- Support Sales, Finance, and Partnerships teams in structuring legally sound agreements.
- Ensure contracts align with business goals while mitigating risks.
- Collaborate with Compliance & ISO teams to ensure adherence to industry regulations.
- Provide legal input on security, privacy, and data protection policies.
- Support the Board with administration and ensure required documentations.
- Full control of our insurances globally and ensure that we have the correct information sharing with respective insurance providers.
- Annually secure that insurance policies are updated in the correct way.
- Act as a project leader when and if information needs to be gathered and shared.
- Nordic Law degree with 7+ years of experience in corporate, IT, or SaaS-related law.
- At least 5 years experience from working at a reputable law firm.
- Proficient in English and Swedish, with strong communication skills.
- Extensive experience in contract law, negotiations, and risk mitigation.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting products, services, IT, and SaaS.
- Ability to work cross-functionally within a global organisation.
- Experience managing external legal counsel for high-risk cases.
