We are looking for our next Finance Manager eager to drive change

As we are implementing SAP we are undergoing a significant transformation, both from financial reporting point of view and in terms of ways of working. We are therefore seeking a Finance Manager to take ownership of our financial reporting for our legal entities outside North America. As a Finance Manager, you will hold ultimate responsibility for the financial reporting, follow-up, and analysis of Billerud's legal entities within your region. This is a newly established role driven by structural changes within the organization, offering a unique opportunity to shape and optimize financial processes.

You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our financial reporting and act as a central link between various finance functions, including Tax, Accounting, Finance Shared Service Center, and our mills. Given the ongoing SAP implementation, your work will be crucial in establishing processes and new ways of working.

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensure that all accounting activities for the legal entity are performed and reported in our consolidation system COGNOS controller, in close collaboration with our Financial Shared Service Center (SSC).
  • Own the statutory reporting for the legal entity, with SSC support.
  • Analyzing balance sheets and income statements, acting as a key point of contact for Group Finance and auditors.
  • Acting as a speaking partner to Group Tax and ensuring tax compliance, including VAT reporting, transfer pricing documentation, and tax margin accuracy.
  • Managing tax returns and Intrastat reporting, supported by SSC, as well as owning the management fee calculations for the legal entity.
  • Ensuring compliance with Group Treasury policies.
  • Ensuring adherence to internal control frameworks and collaborating with internal control functions.
  • Acting as a key finance contact for payroll and HR matters related to employees within the legal entity, covering both recurring and special events.
  • Supporting business controllers in actuals analysis and forecasting.
  • Coordinating with HR regarding salary and benefit calculations to ensure accuracy in financial planning.

This role is based at our headquarter in Solna, Stockholm. You will report to Vice President Group Finance. – This role has no direct reports.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of Finance Manager, we believe you have:

  • Several years' experience from similar roles within Financial Controlling for large or mid-sized listed companies.
  • Strong accounting background covering full legal entity reporting and financial analysis.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with finance teams such as Tax, Group Accounting, Group Business Control and Finance Shared Service Centers.
  • Experience in financial process improvement and implementation.
  • Relevant academic degree, preferably in financial accounting.
