The Technology Acceleration area within Group IT is responsible for establishing the future IT landscape. This will be the foundation for PostNord's continued AI and data-driven journey. As an AI Engineer, your focus will be to answer business challenges using AI software. In the AI team, you will work in an experimental fashion with new AI technologies. You will develop POCs and MVPs and maintain and monitor the AI services the team creates. It is our goal to support the development of AI solutions across PostNord's businesses, to make PostNord more efficient.

Job Duties
  • Understand the business requirements and develop AI services accordingly by taking care of the resources.
  • Develop AI services and collaborate closely with our data platform- and domain teams.
  • Explain AI systems to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Keep up to date on the latest AI technologies.
  • Train team members and business stakeholders on the implementation of AI solutions.
  • Locate and analyze the relevant data to enable the creation of new AI services.
  • Work with the rest of the team to improve communication, collaboration, and deliveries with other teams and stakeholders.
  • Document and explain the solutions you produce.

You have worked with AI solutions in an agile team before. You like to work hands-on, and to work directly with business stakeholders. You have an academic background and as a person, you are curious to learn and evolve your skill set in accordance with the state-of-the-art pace in the domain that you work in.

You will need a collaborative delivery approach to be successful as an AI Engineer. We prefer to use Agile, and our unit applies a pragmatic approach to SAFe to resolve dependencies and set the pace for development. As an AI Engineer, you will cooperate with stakeholders from the business, as well as with our product owner and line managers. Together with the team, you will design and define the competencies, processes, and technology needed to meet the business AI requirements.

We are looking for you who have
  • Worked as a fullstack developer in a data-heavy domain for at least three years.
  • Prior experience working with generative AI/LLMs or ML.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, Java/.Net, and SQL.
  • Good understanding of core cloud concepts - Azure data storage, Azure compute, data connections, CI/CD, and APIs.
  • Fluent English in speech and writing. Proficiency in at least one Scandinavian language is meritorious.
Meritorious experience
  • Awareness of legal and ethical considerations in AI, including data privacy, bias and fairness, transparency, and accountability.
  • Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Creativity, curiosity, and passion for artificial intelligence.
  • Proficiency in React or JavaScript.
  • Cloud literacy - PostNord's data platform is based on Databricks and hosted in Azure.
  • Experience working with various RAG frameworks.
