Accounting Manager, temp position

The Accounting Manager adds value by leading the accounting department in keeping the Group companies' financial records in good order, following regulations while being attentive to the organization's key drivers and needs. Financial stability and correct bookkeeping are key in any business, especially in a fast-growing company like ours. The Accounting Manager oversees the financial and sustainability reporting to Platform24's owners and takes an active role in financial follow-up and support towards the company's functions.

What you will do

• Financial Reporting: Ownership of our financial reporting and consolidation of our six legal entities according to Platform24's closing timelines, with input from the business as well as from the finance team. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with K3.
• General Ledger Management: Oversee general ledger transactions, prepare journal entries, and perform month-end close processes.
• Variance Analysis: Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly variance analyses to track budget vs. actuals, identify areas of discrepancy, and prepare explanations for management.
• Audit Support: The main point of contact for the external audit procedure. Oversee internal and external audits by providing requested documents, schedules, and reconciling items.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures and stay up-to-date with regulatory changes.
• Tax: Act as our owners' primary point of contact regarding tax areas. Ensure Transfer Pricing documentation is updated and individual Transfer Pricing strategies are followed in our European subsidiaries. Moreover, the role is responsible for ensuring that taxation in all legal entities is accurate, including corporate income tax returns and joint taxation, and for the Swedish entities, preparing the income tax returns.
• Annual report: The role is responsible for preparing annual reports for the Swedish entities. In 2025, you will be responsible for preparing a consolidated annual report. The work in 2025 will include a large emphasis on increasing the quality of the reporting and annual accounts in the group's foreign subsidiaries to ensure that a consolidated annual report can be drawn up.
• Sustainability: Responsible for Sustainability reporting requirements (CSRD) to owners and responsible for Platform24's CSRD targets and responsible for coordination with other departments and follow-up of their reported data.

What we are looking for

• A minimum of 5 years experience in accounting
• Minimum a bachelor in accounting
• Professional proficiency in both Swedish and English.
• Extensive knowledge of the entire accounting process, from initial entries to final product, encompassing both balance sheet and PnL.
• Experience in preparing a consolidated annual report (K3)
• Experience with financial planning and analysis
• Experience with Tax and Tax-related issues
• The ability to independently perform tasks related to the responsibilities listed above.
• Strong working skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• The ability to prioritize your workload effectively.
• Thrive in a social environment with many points of contact daily.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and data visualization tools
• Background in accounting or audit

Location: This role is based in our Stockholm office, with a hybrid work arrangement of 2-3 days per week in the office. This provides an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative and collaborative environment.

The role is a temporary position (SE: Vikariat) for 1 year. Start date between March 3rd and March 17th, 2025.
