Job Description

We are currently in search of SAP Basis HANA specialist who is able to support large SAP Landscapes (100+ systems) including Dev/Quality/Productive environments in line with business requirements as SAP Basis Administrator – Support, Configure, Optimizing & Monitoring.

Your Role will involve but will not be limited to:

  • Working with SAP ECC on Unix (AIX/SLES) and Oracle DB (up to rel. 19) & SAP HANA (rel. 2.x); SAP on Azure, SAP PI/PO, SAP BW, SAP-ISU, CRM, Solution Manager 7.2, etc.
  • Work in database administration in Oracle & HANA DB.
  • Must be able to handle system clone/copy and refresh activities independently.
  • SAP Basis Administration including SAP system logs, process monitoring, analysis and clean-up of update terminations, lock entries and ABAP dumps, etc.
  • Monitor, analyse, and identify trends for system performance and resource utilization.
  • Respond to system problems on a 24x7 basis and take part in on-call rotation.
  • Plan and execute SAP system upgrades/SPS/Kernel upgrades periodically.
  • Plan and perform Basis disaster recovery and HA testing.
  • Collaborate across IT functions including OS team, networking and security teams to assist in driving out solutions for SAP.
  • Ability to implement changes to the SAP environment using change control processes and adherence to ITIL processes.
  • Well versed with SAP automation using tools/scripts.
  • Maintaining project documentations including design/architecture, configurations, test execution, SoP, etc.

Project Execution:

  • Must have experience on Cloud Migration to Hyperscalers (Azure/AWS), SAP EHP upgrade.
  • Unicode conversion, HANA DB conversion/migration.
  • Ability to work on oracle upgrade and migration.
  • Must have HANA DB experience to upgrade, refresh, patch update, installation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Installation and Configuration of HANA DB AND S4 HANA
  • Should have experience on S4HANA conversion.
  • Should have good experience on SAP sizing on both Azure and local data center.
  • Must have experience on cloud migration specially in Microsoft Azure.
  • Must have experience on high availability setup.
  • High Availability (HA) setup on cloud Environments
  • Migration of SAP ERP, SAP BW and SAP NetWeaver from oracle to SAP HANA, in place migration and on-premises to azure.
  • Migrated the cluster systems to the distributed environment
  • Database export and import via SWPM.
  • Single Sign-On with SAP HANA Database using Kerberos and Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Homogeneous Migration of SAP systems from one hardware to another for NW upgrades SLD migration.
  • Content server administration & upgrades.
  • Build new SAP systems with database installation and system copy method.

Required Qualification:

  • Masters/Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent degree from a recognised university.
  • 8 -12 years of work experience in SAP Basis Administration SAP ECC & HANA environments, SAP on Azure.
  • Desirable – SAP Certified Basis Administrator / HANA Admin. (Associate level), OS-DB migration, Azure.
  • Exposure to ITIL process and experience in working in large operational setup of 24/7 support.
  • Fluently English speaking & writing.
