Technical Project Manager - Data Centers

Responsibilities
  • Manage complex projects and programs as the key client interface
  • Develop working relationships, problem solve, and drive projects to successful completion
  • Manage the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations
  • Review project plans and specifications, scheduling, cost-saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
  • Manage project safety and environmental requirements
  • Manage project timelines, risks, and reporting
  • Manage project budgets and advise on options to keep budget on track
  • Engage with marketing and business development initiatives
  • Coordinate vendor scope with overall project delivery
  • Contract Execution: Draft contract documents in strict accordance with legally approved contract templates, working closely with project teams to ensure effective and timely document processing and management of contract documents
  • Bring strong communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
Qualifications
  • Technical understanding of Data Centre Infrastructure – HVAC, Electrical, Generators, Fire, Security, and BMS
  • Professional/tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, or construction
  • A minimum of 5 - 10 years project management experience gained within a Data Centre or similar technical environment
  • A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project inception stage, design, authority approvals through to construction completion and post-project review
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools, and techniques
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills
  • Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your client
