  • A university degree and the ability to commute to one of our offices in Malmö, Helsingborg, or Amsterdam.
What you'll be doing day to day

You will be leading and driving projects to deliver business value. You will also support and coach digital project office team members and contribute to common ways of working. You will help drive development initiatives in the team as well as at the digital project office (DPO) level.

As part of the job, you will be:

  • Helping stakeholders across INGKA with business advisory, operational strategy, or feasibility studies.
  • Responsible for planning, managing, and delivering assigned projects, including time, cost, scope, and quality with a focus on maximized business value overall and a clear business case.
  • Identifying, mitigating, monitoring, and controlling risks to keep projects on track and creating awareness of issues in a timely manner.
  • Reporting to and communicating with DPO leadership, steering groups, and other stakeholders to manage expectations and support prioritizations.
  • Managing dependencies and interfaces between projects and the line organization.
  • Driving continuous improvement of quality and performance in assigned projects to ensure targets are met.
  • Identifying and communicating resource needs within assigned projects to the DPO leadership to secure better utilization of team resources.
  • Working in compliance with our Project Framework in planning, execution, and quality assurance processes to promote best practices and ensure a high-quality output.
  • Providing support and guidance to assist in the development of projects and junior project leaders.
Our team within IKEA

The Digital Project Office (DPO) consists of six teams with a total of 54 project leaders. Five of these teams focus purely on Project Management, while the sixth team, which we are recruiting for, is the Project Advisory team. This team comprises individuals who combine Project Management and Business Advisory capabilities.

We are project management professionals focused on delivering measurable business value. Together, we have centuries of experience navigating complex projects, understanding key drivers, challenges, and managing projects to get things done.

We set the digital agenda to keep IKEA leading in an uncertain and fast-moving environment. We drive the development, provision, and operation of our digital products and services using new and existing delivery methods to deliver at pace. Being the Center of Excellence of Project Management at IKEA, we also take responsibility outside Group Digital for some of our important change initiatives.
