Our Vasteras research center in Sweden is in need of a Research Team Manager for the Multiphysics research team, which focuses on diverse topics related to power systems applications.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead a multidisciplinary research team.
  • Guide project leaders in achieving scientific excellence and proficient execution of R&D projects.
  • Mentor team members to enhance their professional growth and aid in recruitment processes.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the team's long-term strategy and the generation of valuable research project proposals.
  • Engage in technical work within research projects and preliminary studies.
  • Foster and enhance collaborations across the organization, relevant business units, and prominent universities.
  • Position your team and its expertise within the realm of evolving trends and research requirements.
  • Cultivate an innovative and motivating work environment within our research center and on a global scale within Power Grids Research.
  • Adhere to Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by assuming accountability for your own actions while looking out for your colleagues and the organization.

Your background

  • Hold a PhD in pertinent fields or possess equivalent professional expertise.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication abilities, and adeptness in managing expectations and intricate interdependencies.
  • Prior exposure to an industrial research setting.
  • Thorough understanding of Power Grids technologies and products, coupled with an interest in novel research areas and technologies.
  • Prove your team-focused, innovative, and strategic work approach through past experiences.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in both written and verbal English; knowledge of Swedish is advantageous.
