Sustainability Specialist (Fixed term contract)

Are you passionate about global sustainability action? Join our team to support and drive our sustainability initiatives and commitments. You'll play a crucial role in both internal and external reporting, ensuring alignment with our strategy and regulatory requirements. Collaborate proactively with global functions and markets to advance our focus areas, with a primary emphasis on climate. Take charge as the program manager for key sustainability projects and help us make a tangible impact on our planet's future.
Your responsibility
- Project manage CDP reporting
- Continue to drive our Climate transition plan and related climate projects throughout the company and value chain
- Support execution of annual Corporate Sustainability report
- Support preparation for upcoming regulations such as CSRD
- Support/action specific ingredient or product projects across climate, forest, water focus areas – carrying out research, engaging with stakeholders and presenting findings
- Research and regularly report on sustainability trends and opportunities.
To succeed in the role
The role demands a disciplined, driven, well-organized approach underpinned by the ability to communicate with people at all levels both verbally and in writing. We are searching for you who have:
- Excellent project management skills
- Stakeholder engagement skills including engaging with colleagues and peers relevant to areas of responsibility
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with ability to articulate views, challenge processes, and suggest areas of improvement or efficiency
- Strong attention to detail, and technical writing and presentational skills
- Strong organizational & administrative capability with proven ability to prioritize and deal effectively with a number of initiatives
- Strong team player, who can also act on own initiative, make decisions and meet strict deadlines
- Honours Degree (possibly post graduate level qualification) in Environmental/Life Science
- Qualification/Experience in data tools and reporting
- Qualification/Experience in communication
- Qualification/Experience in Project management
- Experience in/awareness of EU/global sustainability regulations eg EUDR,CSRD, CSDD D
- Knowledge of Global Environmental/Sustainability topics
- Knowledge of working with reporting frameworks such as GRI, CDP, TCFD, SASB, GHG protocol, Science-Based Targets
- Communication text writing and stakeholder management skills
- Data management and reporting
- Microsoft office capabilities
