Telia Group Internal Audit (GIA) seeks a Senior Internal Auditor in the Business & Finance division to join their team.

GIA supports Telia in achieving its goals by employing a systematic, disciplined, and agile approach to assess and enhance the efficiency of the organization's governance, risk management, and internal control mechanisms. GIA is dedicated to solidifying its status as a trusted advisor and business partner. Operating across various countries, GIA is structured into two primary expertise domains: "Business & Finance" and "Technology & Security" - this role focuses on audits within the "Business and Finance" domain.
This is a senior, hands-on position with strong visibility within the company. The role is based at Telia's headquarters in Solna, Stockholm, with reporting duties to the Head of Group Internal Audit.Ready to drive positive change?

In this role, you will be involved in developing risk-based plans, conducting value-driven assurance, and advisory projects. Leveraging your expertise, you will guide internal stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of maintaining robust internal controls, managing risks, enhancing operational efficiency, and safeguarding shareholders, customers, and employees. Acting as a prominent business partner, you will help lead organizational changes, ensuring risks are managed within acceptable thresholds, and operations run smoothly.The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
  • Planning and executing audits across various areas such as operations, commercial functions, transformation initiatives, and finance, focusing on critical business risks, value drivers, and regulatory considerations, utilizing data analytics and best practices.
  • Identifying gaps and areas for enhancement in the organization's governance, risk management, and internal control, assessing their significance and potential impact on the business.
  • Presenting practical and value-driven recommendations to senior management, compiling audit reports to document findings and proposed action plans. Recommendations will aim to enhance the efficiency, quality, compliance, or profitability of the organization, aligning with its strategic objectives.
Are you the ideal candidate?
We are seeking a seasoned professional with robust business acumen and significant experience in the TMT (Technology, Media & Telecom) sector. You may currently work as an experienced Internal Auditor or be part of a prominent consultancy/audit firm handling TMT clients. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Audit or have reached a managerial or senior managerial level in consultancy roles.The ideal candidate should be a reliable business partner, capable of independently managing tasks and meeting deadlines. Strong analytical skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative spirit are essential. The role requires establishing solid relationships across all organizational levels. We are looking for individuals who thrive in challenging environments, proactively take initiatives, and drive continuous improvements.Your background should include:
  • Extensive experience in the TMT sector, gained from consultancy or audit firms, or hands-on experience in TMT roles such as Project Management, Business Finance, Transformation, and Process improvement.
  • At least 10 years of Audit or Risk Assessment experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of telecom industry processes, financial operations, and commercial functions.
  • Proficiency in English communication (proficiency in Swedish/Scandinavian/Finnish will be beneficial).
  • A degree in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
