Join Our Team as a Senior Motion Control Engineer

Are you curious about joining our quest to mine minerals, create infrastructure, and push cutting-edge technologies for a better tomorrow? We are looking to strengthen the Underground Drilling Applications department with a senior motion control engineer.

You will be part of an agile team of software developers working with face drilling machines. The team consists of experienced professionals with solid application knowledge and collaborates closely with product owners to develop functionalities from request to quality-assured implementation.

Aside from working within the software team, you will also assist other application teams within the Underground Drilling Application. Feedback is crucial to our success, so working closely with stakeholders, other parts of R&D, prototype machines, and real-life tests in mines are integral to our way of working.

Your Mission

Your mission is to be technically responsible for the robot motion control for underground application products. You will evaluate and implement new technologies to drive fully autonomous underground drilling machines forward. Your role will involve improving our hydraulically controlled machines to position and drill full faces without interruption.

The role requires expertise in robot manipulator trajectory planning and control, multi-robot scheduling, mobile robot path planning, localization, and navigation. You will implement your expertise in our control system using C++ and share knowledge with the development teams.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a master's degree in automatic control or mobile robotics. Multiple years of experience in C++ is advantageous, along with solid experience in embedded real-time system development or machine control in industrial applications. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
