We are looking for a senior developer that can help us design, implement and run the world's best ground network system.

As a developer at KSAT, you will work alongside teams of experts to create and optimize ground station solutions that are part of our core product offerings. Currently we have over 250 antennas that communicate with satellites 24/7. You will have the opportunity to design and implement software solutions that optimize our central orchestration planning, customer-facing APIs, internal and external web-applications, and interface with complex hardware systems while making use of the latest advancements in cloud hosting, machine learning, automation etc.

Our ideal candidate have

  • A passion for space and satellite technology
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development
  • Proficiency in at least one of C#, Kotlin, Rust or Java
  • Experience with APIs and machine-to-machine automation
  • Experience with Public cloud hosting (Azure, AWS etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and works well in a team environment

Additional qualifications that would make you stand out

  • Strong background with developing and hosting large API ecosystems
  • Comprehensive experience with cloud computing and containerization (Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
  • Familiarity with satellite ground stations and general space domain
  • Experience with agile development methodologies

KSAT is the world's leading commercial satellite center based in Tromsø. KSAT develops and delivers data, information and services based on satellites, and we have customers all over the world. We are a total of 350 employees located in Tromsø, Svalbard, Stockholm, USA and Oslo. KSAT has stations and antennas all over the world, from Tromsø and Svalbard in the north, via Panama, Singapore and South Africa, to the Troll station in Antarctica in the far south.
