  • We are currently looking for new tutors for the academic year to be part of the Pluggstöd project (study support). As a student, you play a crucial role in assisting young students in primary and secondary school with their homework. Your tasks will include visiting schools and sports clubs in Gothenburg to help develop teaching skills, support young individuals in achieving their objectives, and, most importantly, serve as a role model and mentor for future generations.
Information about the position
  • As a tutor for Chalmers Pluggstöd, you will aid primary and secondary school students with their math and scientific subjects. This project is a collaboration with schools and sports clubs, holding sessions in their facilities. Typically, you will work alongside a school/sport club representative and a group of 6-8 students. The project aims to create an international environment, hence the preference for both international and Swedish students to cooperate during each session. Sessions usually last around two hours, running for approximately 10 weeks per semester starting in September.
Qualifications
  • We seek candidates studying at Chalmers or the University of Gothenburg, who enjoy working with teenagers, have a positive attitude, dedication, and can convey knowledge in an engaging manner. While prior tutoring experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Proficiency in both Swedish and English is preferred. Ideally, candidates can commit to 1-2 sessions per week.
Form of employment
  • Intermittent employment (hourly basis), with work ranging from about 6-15 hours per month.
  • Hourly rate of 135 SEK/hour with employment starting in September 2024 and concluding in May 2025.
