Do you want to take on a crucial role in a unique environment, being a motivated leader driving the production forward? Airsafe Sweden is now looking for their new Production Manager.

The role

As the Production Manager you will oversee the daily operations of the production department to ensure efficiency and that the quality standards are met. It is crucial that you follow the management systems processes and procedures to make sure they are meeting safety rules and company policies in the production area. You will monitor production output and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions as needed. On a regular basis you will plan and oversee workflows to meet production goals and deadlines.

You will also lead and supervise the production staff that today are three employees, and the team will soon expand. The role also contains contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes related to production activities. Collaborating with other departments such as engineering, quality control, and logistics to coordinate in-house or external/subcontract manufacturing.

This role requires physical presence at the office in Upplands Väsby and you are expected to work office hours.

Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Overall responsibility for production, warehouse, and production process owner
  • Production and resell planning
  • Production and resell order handling
  • Estimate production time for quotations
  • Manufacturing of products according to decided production plan and product specifications
  • Control and liaise with external manufacturing companies
  • Improvements of manufacturing processes
  • Instruct and educate operators in their assigned work tasks
  • Ensure traceability of materials and production. Create and supervise production orders in MPS-system/software.
  • Ensure that all instruction and requirements are met and that inspections are carried out as planned
  • Keep track of inventory and minimize capital employed. Perform and report inventories and work in progress for financial reporting purposes

Your profile

To thrive in this position, we believe that you are an experienced Production Manager with a couple of years' experience from similar positions from a small or middle-sized company. You enjoy being a part of the whole production process and work closely with the production team. You are an experienced leader that enjoy being a support to the production team.

  • Experience of production management
  • Experience and good working knowledge of MPS-system/software
  • Broad hands-on experience in a small-sized manufacturing environment
  • A demonstrable ability to implement change and to improve production efficiency and quality
  • Meritorious if you have knowledge in technical sewing
  • Very good knowledge in technical English
