Trollheim Studios - Head of Games

Trollheim is a magical realm of mythical beings, with the mission to share hope and magic with fans across the entertainment landscape, in a time we need it most, through the untold stories of väsen.

We are currently seeking the newest member of our startup Revel, a Head of Games to help set our gaming strategy and oversee the collaboration with our partner studio of our first game, set to redefine the Survival Crafting genre and help players fall in love with the magical World of Trollheim and its wondrous, mythical beings.

We split our time between our office in Stockholm, empowering ourselves with wilderness walks, and working from home. Responsibilities:

The main and routine tasks of the Head of Games are to:

  • Work with the founders and leadership to determine a gaming strategy for the studio;
  • Oversee the communication, process and milestones of our first survival crafting game as the liaison between Trollheim and our partner studio;
  • Identify game concepts that meet the studio gaming strategy;
  • Determine the teams necessary to execute and lead the hiring process;
  • In partnership with the CEO and CCO, implement the Trollheim Games roadmap and supporting execution plan;
  • Develop, maintain and publish Trollheim Games KPI's that track project quality, delivery, and financial status and risks;
  • Responsible for the development of the gaming budget planning process, working closely with the CFO and finance partners. Responsible for executing against a Trollheim-approved budget.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with studio partners, publishers & external talent;
  • With the CCO and World Art Director, ensure that all games meet the Trollheim Universe artistic vision;
  • Assist the marketing team with all marketing campaigns for the studio games;
  • Assist in the development and execution of investment and publisher pitches for all studio games.

Experience:

  • You have at least 7 years experience within the game industry.
  • You have worked as stakeholder for at least one shipped game, and have varying experience between producing, development or publishing.
  • You have had responsibility for small to mid-sized teams within large scale productions.
  • You are comfortable in driving product development.
  • You have a good understanding of all disciplines, components and stages of game production and product lifecycle.
  • A passion for understanding players, player behavior and player motivation
  • Fluent in English
