As a Manager Production Planning you will be responsible for production planning based on internal and external demand and to support capital optimization, corporate strategy and production/sales objectives.


Interfaces between internal and external stakeholders when forecasting and planning of production lines both day to day as long term planning through SIOP with the aim to reduce inventory and at the same time keep a high delivery performance.

Continuously follow up and evaluate plans and relevant KPIs and suggest improvements.

Responsible for risk management by working preventatively, evaluating and suggest actions.

Supporting organization with knowledge to secure a safe work environment,

Drive, support and develop the team towards a high performing team. A team responsible for production planning, , capacity and master scheduling


Actively collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Logistics and Business Development, to ensure an optimised production schedule for both prototype and series production.

You and your team will need to balance customer demands, equipment capacity, availability of human resources and material supply to create the optimal production schedule.


Key responsibilities:

  • Be an active player in the Sales, Inventory and Operational Planning (SIOP) process
  • Be on top of yield, scrap rate, other manufacturing nonconformity levels, as well as all other relevant manufacturing metrics
  • Work closely with material planning and internal logistics to ensure material availability from store to line
  • Produce, communicate and adjust (if need be) a balanced production plan
  • Support MES system implementation
  • Create and communicate forecast based on demand from SIOP, Masterplan or equivalent sources to support stakeholders need
  • Support and develop processes to enable efficient and flexible production planning to support the manufacturing and final customer demands
  • Work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders secure material availability and to approve efficiency
  • Lead or participate in projects and activities to develop the production planning and supply chain processes.
  • Risk management
  • Detect and propose mitigation actions needed
  • Drive the production planning to a new level, utilization tools to improve flexibility, speed and quality
Requirements

Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in supply chain, economics, engineering or relevant area.
  • 5+ years experience in Production or Supply Chain Planning
  • Leadership or management experience
  • Experience from MRP and ERP systems
  • Prior work experience in Production, Supply Chain Planning, Supply, Production, is viewed as a merit
  • Experience in the Operations Management principles: Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma
  • Successful track record of production planning, ideally in an environment in a rampup phase or a prototyping plant is meriting
Specific skills

  • Excellent in manufacturing planning methods like MRP, Detailed scheduling, Lean planning
  • Sound knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and related software, e.g. MRP
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Problemsolving, entrepreneurial attitude thriving in a dynamic environment
  • Selfmotivated and finding it easy to establish new relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience from a diverse and international working environment
  • Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
