  • As Area Architect and a valuable member of the Foundation Services Management team, you will have a comprehensive overview of our platform's architectural framework and how various initiatives interact with the environment. Working closely with our Chief Architect, Area Business Analyst, and development teams, you will dive deep into technical specifics. Your expertise in the field will involve guiding Domain Architects and other stakeholders by providing support on infrastructure and operational issues.
  • You will be responsible for crafting and maintaining a technical roadmap for the central platform services that align with our cloud strategy and target architecture, supporting the overall business plan. An integral part of your role will include overseeing the delivery and operations of a reliable, scalable platform by conducting reviews on architecture concepts and solutions to enhance performance. You will also ensure compliance with Volvo Group Security directives and meet customer demands for information security.
  • In addition to your core responsibilities, you will lead competence networks and communities on a local and global scale, as well as mentor Domain Architects. This presents a chance for you to leverage your expertise and experience to engage with a diverse range of individuals within our organization to drive positive change, collectively.

Your Profile
  • We are seeking an individual with extensive experience as a senior Architect, ideally within a global setting. Proficiency in application operations and high availability infrastructure design, along with agile software development experience, is essential. With a broad understanding of cloud technologies and best practices, you will continue to drive the successful adoption of cloud services within our organization.
  • You are no stranger to making impactful technical decisions and achieving set objectives. Striking a balance between structure and creativity, you are not afraid to challenge conventional practices to make room for innovation when required.
  • We envision you as an outgoing individual who highly values professional relationships, with a genuine interest in progressing collectively. You have previous experience in, and enjoy, leading and collaborating with other Architects, finding ways to inspire and develop individuals and teams. Operating with an owner's mindset, you uphold integrity to establish and nurture trust.
  • You are fluent in both spoken and written English and possess a valid work permit for Sweden if you are not an EU citizen.
