We are looking for a Warehouse Shift Lead (interim) to join our team at the Distribution and warehouse in the Immunodiagnostics Division situated in Uppsala, Sweden.

The role involves overseeing the daily operations and ensuring department metrics like OTIF (On Time In Full) are met. The Warehouse Shift Lead communicates priorities, delegates tasks to colleagues, and actively participates in picking and packing processes. By utilizing their expertise and planning skills, they optimize resources during their shift.

The Warehouse Shift Lead (interim) will be part of the leadership & steering team for Distribution, collaborating closely with other departments. Together with the Resource Lead, they will plan staffing levels and competencies to meet daily targets. Additionally, they will establish a structured handover process with the other shift lead.

We are seeking a candidate with strong leadership and teamwork abilities. They should actively coach and support colleagues, fostering a safe work environment aligned with Thermo Fisher's 4i values. The role involves regular communication and follow-ups with operators, focusing on individual development and progress. The Warehouse Shift Lead will also facilitate onboarding, mentorship of new staff, and ensure training to enhance team competencies.

To promote communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, the Warehouse Shift Lead will conduct daily tier board meetings and uphold quality standards by reporting deviations and non-conformities.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in warehousing and team leadership/management
  • Post-secondary education or high school qualifications
  • A track record of delivering results
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in Swedish (proficiency in English is advantageous)
  • Ability to make prompt decisions based on established procedures
  • Experience in organizing shift tasks and ensuring accountability
