In the PRO team, we oversee the commitments Danske Bank made to the US Department of Justice under the 2022 Plea Agreement. We collaborate internationally with colleagues from various business units and legal entities across countries where the Group operates.

You will be part of a team of risk, compliance, and project management experts responsible for strategically important areas of our Post-Resolution Program. Based in one of the Nordic countries or Poland, you will join the Group Risk Management organization. Together, our goal is to support sustainable business operations, manage risk effectively, and maintain a solid risk culture.

Given the high priority of PRO by senior management, this role presents excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth in risk, compliance, and the banking sector.

The role we offer

The PRO team manages the Group's compliance obligations as outlined in the Plea Agreement. Responsibilities include overseeing multiple compliance programs and lines of defense, responding to regulatory requests, ensuring delivery against Commitments across subsidiaries and branches, providing regular reporting to senior management, and supporting colleagues in various compliance programs and project management matters.

The role available is a Principal position reporting to the Deputy Head of Post-Resolution Office.

Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the consistent application and changes of methodology for Validation and Testing of DOJ Commitments across all PRO Workstreams.
  • Managing governance processes to track and oversee Design Validation and Testing of DOJ Commitments.
  • Providing expert support on Design Validation plans for DOJ Commitments.
  • Gathering and presenting management information from Design Validation teams.

Who are we looking for?

We seek a hands-on, self-starting individual with a logical view of risk management, adept at managing multiple tasks in a time-sensitive manner without compromising quality. You should excel in fast-paced environments, communicate effectively with stakeholders of various backgrounds, and possess significant business knowledge. Additionally, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry in an international setting.
  • Experience in Group Compliance, Group Risk Management, or Group Internal Audit.
  • Background in large-scale, international, regulatory remediation programs.
  • Practical knowledge of banking products, financial crime, risk management, compliance, and control frameworks.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English with strong communication skills.
