Role Purpose
This role is responsible for the overall finance function of Scandinavia.
This is a hands on role, focused on financial accounting and reporting based upon a solid approach to risk management and a sound internal control environment. Furthermore, it is expected that detailed performance analysis and the provision of forward looking insights will directly assist in commercial development opportunities, all aligned to the business objectives.
The development of strong working relationships with, amongst others, the local/regional business leaders, Finance Shared Service functions and the Group Head Office finance team is critical.
What you will be doing
Providing leadership and expertise to the SVP Scandinavia, Country finance controllers & Station Managers on all financial and commercial matters to ensure robust financial control and planning. Leading the team of country financial controllers and associated activities required. Full compliance to defined control framework, Group policies and relevant accounting standards and the direct & indirect tax compliance of their respective legal entities. Support financial analysis, construction of business cases and create capital investment proposals along with the commercial and strategic growth of the company. Review and interpret performance for trends and variations (including KPIs) delivering meaningful, accurate and timely reporting & analysis to translate these in to actionable plans for communication to management and other commercial managers.Would you like to see more detail on the accountabilities of the role? What we are looking for
Qualified accountant (for example RA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with strong post-qualification experience in progressively to more senior positions. Hands-on practical approach to providing guidance and direction in a challenging and dynamic business environment. Self-motivated, disciplined and flexible attitude to work. Strong analytical skills with proven ability to identify, address and communicate issues and correction actions successfully at all levels. Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the region. Experience of managing and adapting to the challenges of different cultures and legislation. Knowledge of SUN, Hyperion and Vision Excel is preferred. Experienced user of Excel is a must.Diversity
