The Rolls and Workshop Services unit at Valmet offers cutting-edge roll technology and maintenance expertise for paper, board, tissue machines, and fiber production equipment.

We are seeking a Director of Roll Covers and Maintenance to drive profitable growth in the Service business by enhancing roll cover and maintenance technology, ensuring product quality, developing agreement concepts, improving cost efficiency, and boosting customer satisfaction. This role involves leading the global Roll Covers and Maintenance Technology Unit team, focusing on business development, product management, R&D, and Intelligent Solutions development with a strong emphasis on sustainable roll solutions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure financial results meet or exceed targeted levels
  • Develop new business concepts
  • Manage product portfolio
  • Implement marketing plans
  • Conduct annual financial planning
  • Competitor benchmarking
  • Establish strategic partnerships and oversee major investments
  • Coordinate roll cover & maintenance operations with Area sales and Services
  • Ensure sufficient production capacity for roll cover & maintenance technology
  • Lead new product launches
  • Strengthen roll cover & maintenance technology competencies in Areas

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated drive to deliver results
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the P&P industry
  • Experience in leading matrix organizations in an international setting
  • Understanding of P&P industry and business processes
  • Strong leadership and customer orientation
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage change effectively
  • Fluency in English and willingness to travel internationally
