The kitchen is helmed by head chef Guowei Zhou, from the Shandong province in northern China, and features an award-winning team of talented Chinese chefs.

Role Description

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of Restaurant Fei. Do you want to create unforgettable experiences for the restaurant’s guests and improve the highest standards of service and operational efficiency with your team? Join our journey to become the spearhead of Chinese cuisine in the Nordics The Restaurant Manager (RM) reports to the Front of House Food & Beverage Manager and is a part of the hotel’s department manager group.

Your attention to detail ensures that every guest receives an exceptional dining experience, and your proactive approach helps streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency. 

You have a knack for problem-solving and are adept at handling the challenges that come with managing a busy restaurant. Your passion for the hospitality industry drives you to continuously seek ways to improve and innovate, and your excellent communication skills ensure seamless interactions with both guests and colleagues. You speak both Swedish and English and it’s a bonus if you can speak Chinese.

Key Responsibilities

Below you will find examples of your tasks and areas of responsibility. 

  • Manager for head waiters, waiters & runners. Lead and allocate "front-of-house" operations within the department.
  • Involved in operations and capable and willing to perform all the tasks carried out by the department's staff. Working hours vary between days/evenings and weekends.
  • Actively work with goal management and forecasts – revenue & cost forecasts and have profit responsibility for the department.
  • Administrate and handle incoming reservations, group bookings, and guest requests.
  • Ensure everyone in the department clearly understands how they are expected to contribute to the results every day. Responsible for up-selling within the department.
  • Responsible for scheduling, training, education, development discussions, and salary reporting.
  • Responsible for recruitment within their department, but always in consultation with the immediate supervisor.
  • Maintain good contact with suppliers.
  • Responsible for ordering office and other consumables for the department. Ensure that all beverages for the department are in stock.
  • Work with and develop routines for the department and ensure they are followed. Ensure the company’s policies are adhered to.
  • Continuously follow up on customer satisfaction in the feedback system such as Loopon, Google, and Tripadvisor. 
  • Ensure that the department has accurate and relevant information regarding events in the house well in advance of implementation.
  • Ensure that monthly inventory is carried out on time and reported. 
  • In cooperation with the immediate manager and marketing coordinator, administrate sales, PR, and marketing activities.
  • Ensure that correct prices and menus are updated in the department.
  • Duty service according to the duty schedule, which involves being on-site at the hotel and having overall responsibility for operations during the weekend duty service is scheduled.
