To enable this exciting future, we are looking for you who have a deep knowledge in establishing different business models with supply partners and previous experience in the battery cell industry. The rapid transformation and new market environment have fostered a new way of thinking within the battery value chain which is challenging our current ways of working in both the internal and external ecosystem. As responsible for battery cells partnerships, you will have a strategic role in the battery purchasing team and be at the heart of the transformation journey in an innovative and highly strategic area. We are looking for you who can drive change, are a collaborator and have a strong strategic understanding to join us in defining and implementing the strategy for the battery cell ecosystem in order to support the Volvo Group sustainability and electrification agenda. What will you work with as the Senior Buyer for Battery Cell Partnerships?

You will, as a key member of the battery purchasing team develop and implement the strategy for battery cells in strong collaboration with the global buyer network as well as the cross functional colleagues and the headquarter functions. That means e.g.: Lead the implementation and negotiation of new partnerships in the battery cell ecosystem in strong collaboration with the global purchasing team Build and maintain the expertise and strategic understanding of different business models in the battery cells supply chain: e.g., identifying micro and macro trends, market development and benchmark, impact on total cost of ownership, sustainability etc. Define and enable activities required to excel the competitive advantage for battery cells in the full QDCF-TSR (quality, delivery, cost, feature, technology, sustainability & risk) Enable the way of working in the full ecosystem, including upstream and downstream supply chain, to enable the Volvo Group strategy Ensure strong and efficient collaboration with a large internal network and work in close collaboration with the cross functional colleagues as well as the headquarter functions, such as corporate finance and corporate legal Work in accordance with Volvo Group’s defined Values (Customer Success, Trust, Passion, Change, Performance)

You like to do business and have a passion for purchasing: you demonstrate excellent communication skills both at operational and executive level, and you are comfortable in cross functional and multicultural set-up You have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with your counterparts in the internal and external ecosystem You are always striving to improve both yourself and your work environment You are driven, responsible and accountable for your deliveries You have previous experience from large and strategic M&A projects You have excellent business acumen and extensive experience in the battery cell supply chain and preferable within the area of automotive You have an adequate academic education
