JOB TITLE: Process Engineer

FUNCTION: Operations

SUB FUNCTION: Operations - Manufacturing

CITY & COUNTRY: Malmö, Sweden

CONTRACT: Full-time, Permanent

ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

The Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring key site manufacturing performance metrics are calculated and reported on time in full. They are also the Production Stock Area (PSA) stock contoller. Collaborate with the production teams and support functions to ensure performance issues are identified, targeted and systematically reduced or eliminated to improve factory efficiency and reduce waste.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Calculate and report OEE, OEE losses and MTBF aligned to the Global reporting standards in collaboration with the Production Line Structure teams. Manage the Production Stock Area (PSA) by maintaining correct material data, performing stock counts and any arising stock adjustments as per policy requirements. Calculate and report Blend Waste and WMS waste aligned to global reporting standards. Collaborate with Production to identify improvement opportunities in the production process, prioritize ideas and ensure development and deployment of action plans with the goal of reducing or eliminating waste. Calculate and report Productivity in collaboration with Finance & HR teams. Ensure that the Sweden dashboard and Regional MPD files are correctly updated on time in full.

People Results:

The Process Engineer is a member of the factory LE Pillar and owner of the Waste DMS. Participate in factory stock counts in collaboration with Logistics, Scheduling & Finance teams and lead the portions related to the Production Stock Area (PSA). Supports and builds capability in waste identification, mapping and elimination opportunities. Supports with benchmarking and reapplication of Current Best Approaches (CBAs). Support development and lead portions of the Production Engineering department and LE Pillar 90 Day Action Plan. Inspire the team by acting as a role model in terms of living the BAT Values and IWS culture.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

a) Technical Skills:

At least 2 years of experience of working in manufacturing industry would be ideal. A good interest in technical knowledge is beneficial. Demonstrated firm understanding in the areas of safety and quality.

b) Leadership Skills:

Effective communication skills - Fluent in spoken & written Swedish and English Ability to present to groups and clearly convey the message Strong interpersonal skills and good stakeholder management. Ability to effectively coach and train others Structured and target oriented Ability to effectively prioritize competing needs Demonstrate drive to initiate change and challenge status quo High level of personal responsibility and accountability for results Service minded and flexible Act as an owner with focus on costs, structure, and order Perform additional tasks where responsible line manager is requiring coverage, which is not defined in above area of responsibility

c) Analytical Skills & Problem Solving:

Advanced skill in MS office Intermediate ERP skills (SAP) Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to assimilate technical data to support recommendations. Demonstrated problem solving skills Familiarity with structured problem solving tools - fishbone diagram, 5 why, RCA
