To face the challenges, we are now looking for an ELECTROCHEMIST ENGINEER to join our entrepreneurial and motivated team

As an engineer you will be responsible for Hymeth’s present patent technology and the development of the next generation of technologies to ensure that Hymeth maintains the position as the R&D leader within the field of hydrogen. The role will report to the R&D Manager.

This position offers a unique opportunity to be involved and influence Hymeth’s products for a more sustainable world. As an engineer at Hymeth, you will have your own area of expertise and work in close collaboration with the development team to drive the development of the product and processes. You will be responsible for identifying what creates the most value for our customers as well as for Hymeth’s technology. You will serve as the master in electroplating within the company as well as external contacts such as our suppliers.

Key tasks as ELECTROCHEMIST ENGINEER

  • Drive the product development process within your area of speciality within Hymeth.
  • Be part of ensuring Hymeth has the right process in its product offering by managing the production process to guarantee an overall leading position.
  • Prioritize features and control project scope to reach project objectives within the area.
  • Be the expert on Hymeth's products and provide daily operational support to both internal and external contacts.
  • Establish and maintain documents such as schedule, backlog, and other requirements.
  • Drive the development of new products and processes from already existing ideas or by identifying potential products through customer insights and market research.
  • Be responsible for briefing and providing content in the development.
  • Supplier inspection based on technical know-how.
  • Surface engineering
  • Laboratory testing of materials
  • Aiding Project development with technical specifications, the related cost and lead time
  • You have excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Any other language is a plus.

  • You have a degree qualification in process, chemical engineering, or technology.
  • You have proven working experience as an electrodeposition engineer (approx. 5 years).
  • Experience in Surface & Material Research and design, experience with electrodeposition of transitional metals and metal alloys
