Range Area Manager

In IKEA of Sweden, Range, we want to put in the next gear of moving IKEA product range and make us better together. We have decided to put the product in the center – with a full focus on the core of our assignment, product development.
We are now looking for a Range Area Manager (RAM) for the Cooking and Eating business.
In this role you will lead a diverse group of down-to-earth, straightforward people with a passion for life at home. You will lead the management team for the Range Area, and you will report to the Manager for Range Areas, Emelie Knoester.
We, in Range Area Cooking and Eating, have a strong believe that to cook and eat together is for many a way to share, not only a meal, but also to hang out together. It’s a way to share stories, traditions, discussions and opinions. It’s a social activity, full of life and energy. Our goal is to support the many people in their everyday cooking and eating activities and deliver a wide range of products, designed for both cooking healthy in a sustainable way, and enjoying eating them together.
We are a team of about 50 colleagues who work across the Cooking & Eating business. Together we focus on developing an excellent Cooking & Eating offer to enable a healthy, sustainable and enjoyable life around food. For the many people and always with the low price in mind.
Our Range Area will continue to grow both in pieces, value and markets share and we hope you would like to be a part of this
The Range Area Manager:
- Is an experienced leader with proven record of range and business development and performance over time in a similar context
- Lead the creation of the HFB plan and secure that it drives growth and positioning
- Lead the Range Area business in an efficient and effective way by collaborating with other Range Areas and other relevant stakeholders throughout the IKEA value chain
- Is used to prioritizing and simplifying for your teams and organisation, for best use of time
Your values-based leadership, leading by example every day, staying close to your team, and knowing your business are pre-requisites to lead, build and develop the Range Area. You have a development mindset, and you are comfortable exploring and not having all the answers. Leading with trust and giving space for people to take own initiatives comes naturally to you. At the same time you can give clarity, direction and you are confident taking both easy and challenging decisions.
The Range Area Manager is crucial for our product development business, and we believe that your presence with the team and working a majority of the time in the office is important.
